Lake Tahoe is home to the highest concentration of ski resorts in the US. The south shore receives nearly 300 days of sunshine
a year, and over 500 inches of snow. There is also plenty for non-skiers to do. The lively atmosphere offers gambling and
world-class live entertainment, plus amazing scenery and historic tours. Our trip will give us the chance to ski at three
different resorts: Heavenly, Kirkwood and Northstar.
The largest, Heavenly, will be our home base, because it provides a variety of terrain to satisfy beginners through advanced
skiers, with wide-open, well-groomed slopes, peaceful pine forests and epic double-black diamond runs.
Kirkwood offers a backcountry alpine feel, with unspoiled alpine scenery, steep terrain, big bowls, chutes galore, and tons of
snow. There is ample terrain for less aggressive skiers, at the Timber Creek Express area.
Northstar is geared towards intermediate skiers with 100 well-groomed trails and 20 chairlifts. The base village at Northstar
has a charming European feel, with dining, shopping and spas.

The Club recommends Trip Insurance to cover the unforeseen need
