Banff, Canada – March 13-20 2020

Updated: Apr 28, 2021

The Mountains:

Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies incorporates two great ski resorts—Lake Louise and Sunshine Village. Our trip is divided so that you can experience both mountains. Together they have a colossal 7,500 acres and close to 300 runs. Set within Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the area is renowned for stunning beauty and abundant wildlife.

Both resorts have a good mix of slopes appealing to all abilities. Lake Louise has 4,200 acres with 145 runs; 25% beginner, 45% intermediate and 30% expert.

Sunshine Village has 3,358 acres and 137 runs; 20% beginner, 55% intermediate and 25% expert.

Lodging:

We will also be dividing our trip between two iconic hotels, the first four nights at the fabulous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and three nights at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Both fabled hotels were built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in spectacular surroundings. Chateau Lake Louise is surrounded by soaring peaks, the Victoria Glacier, and sits on the waters of beautiful Lake Louise.

And few hotels in the world rival the majesty and scenery of the Banff Springs Hotel, located near the town of Banff. Styled after a Scottish castle, the Banff Springs offers stunning vistas, great cuisine and the Willow Springs Spa.

Optional Activities:

There is a myriad of optional activities you can take advantage of including cross country skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing, ice skating on Lake Louise, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, and snow-shoeing.

And on Tuesday, the transfer day to Banff, we will also offer an optional day ski trip to yet another fantastic ski area, Kicking Horse , renowned for its high alpine terrain, 4th highest vertical in N.A., (4,300’) wide open bowls, ample powder and challenging terrain (20%/20%/60%; Beg/Int/Exp).
